DHA is the most abundant Omega 3 fatty acid in the body because it is present in all organs especially the central nervous system, sperm and the retina. The DHA content is, normally, between 5 and 30 times greater than EPA in the majority of organs. DHA is the most beneficial fatty acid for human healthcare. It is essential for the cardiovascular system, brain development and learning capacity of children, eyes and the nervous system as well as inflammatory situations, among others. Pregnancy and breastfeeding

DHA is an essential element in the formation of the brain, nervous system and eyes of the foetus and baby during pregnancy and breastfeeding. – Breastfeeding is recommended for children feeding on breast milk born in time
– When breastfeeding is not possible, we recommend the use of a preparation for babies with 0.2-0.5% of DHA over total lipids and a quantity equal or greater of Araquidonic acid (Omega 6)

Furthermore, the French Food Healthcare Safety Agency (AFSSA) recommends 250 mg of DHA per day for expectant and breastfeeding mothers.
